Promoting the educational and emotional development of young children
The Harris School offers a specialized curriculum for bright children in preschool through grade 8 whose neurological difficulties or emotional concerns interfere with their ability to succeed in mainstream classrooms. By helping them and their parents at an early age, they will grow to reach their full potential. More than 90% of Harris School children return successfully to mainstream schools.

Research Interests
The Harris School provides a research and training laboratory for studying how to better help young children, especially those who are intellectually gifted. Other research interests that have evolved naturally out of our experience are 1) how to better support girls' emotional development and 2) the special contributions fathers make to their children's emotional life.
